Welcome to the site of the STEP Caribbean Conference 2008 10th
Annual Conference
The 2008 Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Caribbean
Conference marks the tenth year for this long standing, successful
event.
This conference will be the central meeting place for the offshore
financial services industry for 2008. The programme is developed by
a steering committee consisting of STEP Caribbean Conference
Chairpersons from The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos,
British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Bermuda, Panama and Miami
branches. The conference promises to provide STEP members and their
guests with a quality program of guest lecturers, workshops, panel
discussions and keynote speakers.
Primarily concerned with presenting topics that are of interest to
all jurisdictions in the Caribbean, the conference will also examine
macro issues facing STEP professionals worldwide with speakers
coming from the US, UK and Europe.
Delegates are expected from many of the Caribbean jurisdictions as
well as Canada, the UK, Europe and US. In 1999, over 250 delegates
attended the inaugural conference in Nassau making it the largest
financial services conference held anywhere. Further, delegate
turn-out in Turks and Caicos in 2000, Cayman Islands in 2001, Miami
in 2002, Virgin Islands in 2003 , The Bahamas in 2004, Miami ,
hosted by STEP Barbados in 2005 and Bermuda in 2006. The 2007
conference in Cayman exceeded all expectations, gathering many of
the region’s key decision-makers within a first ever sold out venue.
Set to run 5-7 May 2008, The Panama STEP Branch will host the tenth
annual STEP Caribbean Conference at the Sheraton Panama Hotel &
Convention Center in downtown Panama City. Careful planning of the
programme includes showcasing some of Panama’s most famous landmarks
all included in the full registration of the conference
