Christel Sands-Feaste is Vice President Legal at Tradeinvest Asset Management Ltd. a private wealth management business based in The Bahamas and of Baha Mar Development Company Ltd., a leading Bahamian development company and the developer of “Baha Mar”. Baha Mar will be the Caribbean’s largest destination resort featuring over 3000 rooms on a 1,000 acre site.

Christel is responsible for advising on various legal matters impacting affecting those businesses relating to real estate acquisitions, the establishment of operation of mutual funds, compliance issues, asset financing, international tax matters, trust and corporate administration and international commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Tradeinvest in 2005, Christel was an attorney at the Bahamas based commercial firm, Higgs & Johnson in the trust, commercial and corporate practice groups. Christel has extensive experience in corporate formation and administration, advising private and institutional clients on investment fund structuring and creation, estate planning, asset financing and a range of other commercial matters. In September, 2000 she was seconded to the Toronto Office of the Canadian law firm Lang Michener where she spent four months in the securities department. Christel was named as a leading commercial lawyer in The Bahamas in the International Financial Law Review 1000 in 2006.

Christel was educated in the United Kingdom and holds an LLB from Reading University and an LLM in banking and finance law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She was called to the bars of England and Wales and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 1998.
