JAIME EDUARDO ALEMAN obtained a B.A. degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana on December 1974 and a Juris Doctorate degree from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina on May 1978. He is a founding partner of Aleman, Cordero, Galindo & Lee, one of the most prominent law firms in Panama, and a former President of the International Lawyers Association of Panama. He is a member of the Washington, D.C and Panama Bar Associations. He is also a member of STEP and the ITPA, and a director of HSBC (Panama) S.A. He specializes in corporate and trust law.
