JAMES CORBETT QC
Serle Court
James is a member of
Serle Court chambers in Lincoln’s Inn, London. He was called to the
English Bar in 1975. After that he taught at Leicester University before
commencing practice. He was appointed a QC in 1999.
James practises in both the traditional chancery (trusts, estates,
company and insolvency law and intellectual property) and commercial
fields. He has been admitted to practice in Anguilla, BVI, St Kitts and
Nevis, and the Turks and Caicos. He regularly advises on and appears in
cases in those jurisdictions.
He is a member of STEP and ACTAPS and a frequent speaker at STEP
meetings in the Caribbean.
James is also an active mediator and arbitrator. He is a Fellow of the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chartered Arbitrator and a Fellow
of the Hong Kong and Singapore Institutes of Arbitrators. He is a member
of many international arbitration panels. |
