Kensley A. McDowall

Kensley is a Barrister at Law and Solicitor. He is a manager with Codan Trust Company Limited, where he has responsibility for compliance related matters. Prior to joining Codan Trust he worked in the Compliance Departments of Bermuda Trust Company Limited and Global Fund Services, subsidiaries of the Bank of Bermuda. He is called to the Bermuda Bar and the Bar of several Caribbean jurisdictions, including his native St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

He is the current Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Bermuda and served on the 2006 Bermuda STEP Caribbean Conference Committee. He is also an executive member of the Association of Bermuda Compliance Officers (ABCO) and a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (FICA), a Certified Anti Money laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified fraud Examiner (CFE).

Kensley has a keen interest in writing and has been published in Trust Quarterly review (TQR) Magazine. His vision for STEP Bermuda is to grow the branch within the context of STEP Caribbean Regional Council to the highest achievable level thereby lending able support to the STEP Caribbean Conference Committee.
