Sean McWeeney, is a partner in the law firm of Graham Thompson & Co., specializing in trusts and corporate law.

Mr. McWeeney served as Attorney-General of The Bahamas from January, 1989 to August, 1992, and as a Senator from 1985 to 1992. It was during his tenure as Attorney-General that many of the modern company and trust statutes of The Bahamas were developed, including the International Business Companies Act, the Companies Act, the Trusts (Choice of Governing Law) Act (to repel claims based on foreign forced heirship laws) and the Fraudulent Dispositions Act (for asset protection trusts).

In 1998, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Bahamian Independence, Mr. McWeeney was recognized by the Government with the award of the Silver Jubilee Medal for “Outstanding Contribution to National Development in the Area of Law”.
