Richard Hay Stikeman Elliott

Richard Hay is a tax partner and the head of the private banking practice in the London office of Stikeman Elliott, Canadian and International lawyers. Richard advises on international taxation and financial regulation policy, including the initiatives pursued by the G-20, the OECD, the EU, the FATF and the IMF.Richard acts for the IFC Forum (www.ifcforum.org) which represents the major professional firms in the British offshore centres in policy dialogues on financial regulation.

Richard received the STEP award for "Outstanding Contribution to the Profession" in 2008 for work related to tax information exchange and international financial regulation. . Richard was recently named as one of the “500 most influential people in the world’s financial centres” in the FCI 500 produced by Financial Centres International, available at www.financialcentresinternational.com.
